Henry Ngok Heng Hui

Henry’s practice areas cover civil and commercial litigation, specialising in construction and real estate disputes. He has represented clients at the different tiers of the Malaysian Courts and in Arbitrations as well as Adjudication proceedings.

Henry has acted for developers, landowners, lessors and lessees, landlords and tenants, as well as joint management bodies and management corporations in various matters including civil construction disputes, fraudulent land transactions, leases, tenancies, and debt recovery. He is regularly engaged by clients from the construction industry to advise and review construction related contracts.

Henry is also known for his experience in family and succession law. His litigation background makes him an effective negotiator and litigator in contentious divorce cases and family disputes covering areas such as maintenance, division of assets and child custody. By extension of his family law practice, he frequently advises clients on Will writing, trust arrangements, and in probate related matters.

Henry graduated from University of Liverpool and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2007.

Ivan Ong Chee Kong

Ivan advises on corporate and commercial matters. He is also an experienced litigator. 

Ivan regularly provides support to companies on internal legal matters and in relation to commercial transactions. He has represented clients from diverse industries including fast moving consumer goods, advertising, education, manufacturing and retail, commercial services, technology, financial services, media and entertainment, food and beverage.

Ivan has also advised clients on cross border transactions involving countries in Asia and Africa, Australia, UK, and the USA, and often works with international clients based in Malaysia.

With his insights and business acumen, Ivan is sought after to advise and prepare a wide range of commercial agreements, such as distribution agreement, warehousing agreement, transport agreement, collaboration agreement, licence agreement, retailer agreement and supply of goods and services agreement.

Ivan’s experience includes advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint venture arrangements, share transactions and shareholders’ agreements, sale and purchase of business and assets, employment law, regulatory and compliance matters, company law, personal data protection, franchise and licensing, and gaming and lottery.

Ivan graduated from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle and was called to the English Bar at Lincoln’s Inn in 2004. Ivan was subsequently admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2005.

Lee Shiow Chi

Shiow Chi’s practice areas cover civil and commercial litigation. Her experience includes employment and industrial relation matters, commercial and contractual disputes, tortious claims, insurance disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, debt recovery actions and insolvency.

Shiow Chi has represented corporations and private individuals at the different levels of the Malaysian Courts with much success. Her unique perspective and sharp intuition have already garnered her a strong reputation as an exceptional litigator.

Shiow Chi’s dedication to her clients extend beyond the courtroom where she is regularly appointed by clients on a retainer basis to advise on various transactional business matters and commercial agreements. She is often described by clients as a trusted and knowledgeable lawyer.

Shiow Chi graduated from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2018.

Lee Wei Ting

Wei Ting’s practice areas cover general litigation, and enforcement proceedings. Being an entrepreneur herself, Wei Ting applies her practical knowledge into her practice.

She is a strategic planner and acts for clients in pre-action negotiations and if necessary, litigation. Her experience covers contractual and tortious disputes, defamation actions, debt recovery matters, insolvency actions, as well as enforcement of securities and judgment proceedings.

Apart from litigation, Wei Ting advises companies on incorporation, compliance and regulatory related matters. Her outgoing personality and responsiveness have made her popular with both local and international clients. Malaysia based subsidiaries of PRC’s companies, information technology companies, media and entertainment companies forms part of her list of corporate clients.

Wei Ting is also often featured on media channels providing insights on legal issues.

Wei Ting graduated from Aberystwyth University, Wales and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2012.

Loh Chu Bian

Chu Bian is experienced in handling heavily contentious litigation at the different tiers of the Malaysian Courts.

Chu Bian was a former partner at a tier one dispute resolution law firm where he had developed a reputation as a prominent litigator having acted for high nett worth individuals, private and public listed companies, and multinational corporations.

Known for his critical and analytical evaluation, clients have appointed him for complex litigation involving commercial and contractual disputes, tortious claims, family feud, employment law, civil fraud, company law as well as shareholder and director disputes.

Chu Bian also has notable experience in insolvency practice and banker’s liability. He has acted for commercial banks, liquidators, receivers and managers, distressed companies, and individuals, in prosecuting or defending various complex issues arising from banking facilities and security enforcement.

Having garnered a wide experience in various areas of law, Chu Bian is often engaged by other law firms to act as lead counsel in trials at the High Court and appeals at the Court of Appeal and Federal Court in Malaysia.

Chu Bian holds the Bachelor of Jurisprudence degree and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2005. Chu Bian is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Malaysia.
